Were you looking for Slender Man outside of the "Slender" duology, or perhaps The Operator, an unrelated being who has a similar appearance?

Slender Man is the titular main antagonist of Slender: The Eight Pages.

Appearance[]

Slender Man's appearance is very similar to how he is described in the mythos. However, his skin is curiously a caucasian color, reminiscent of human skin. It is unknown why this is. He also has face contours.

History[]

In the first game, Slender Man has no backstory and few characteristics. He is simply a tall, thin, and faceless interdimensional being that follows the player; becoming more and more aggressive as they continue to collect pages. He does show certain abilities, such as teleportation, distortion, and the ability to protrude tentacles from his back.

Slender Man returns as the titular main antagonist of Slender: The Arrival.

Appearance[]

Slender Man's appearance has been significantly improved compared to the first game. He still retains his features from the contemporary mythos, such as his abnormally tall height and business suit. However, his face appears to have a sort of bumpy texture to it with a pale white color, and he also sports a red tie, unlike the black one he had in Slender: The Eight Pages. His hands are also white with a burnt texture as opposed to the fully black color they had in the previous game.

Slender Man's appearance has been completely remastered compared to the first game and the original version of the sequel. The bumpy texture on his face from Slender: The Arrival's original version has been mostly removed, the burnt texture from his hands have been removed completely, and his model has been completely reworked. Stained moss also appears to be scattered on parts of his suit upon closer inspection.

History[]

Slender Man's story is much more fleshed out here compared to the first game. He was originally thought to simply be a hallucination shared by Carl Ross and Kate following a traumatic event that happened in Oakside Park one night when the two aforementioned characters were children.

In v2.0, Slender Man's backstory is elaborated on further. In "Homestead", he is referred to in collectibles by Frieda Matheson as a demon who was accidentally summoned during a ritual conducted by the Matheson and Hayes families just outside the chapel on the Matheson Farmstead. This can be seen as a charred area on the ground with a circle made from several rocks.

In "Memories", Slender Man is also revealed to abduct children, such as Charlie Matheson Jr..

In the Anniversary Edition, Slender Man is implied to be responsible for manipulating Charles Matheson, Sr. into committing self-immolation in "Nightmare".
