DEATHTRAPEXODUS is the fifty-first episode of TribeTwelve, and the 9th video of season 2. It was uploaded on October 31st, 2015.

It is notable for being the first video to feature Swain. After this video was uploaded, the channel art was changed to a picture of the Collective posted to Twitter immediately prior to the video.

[Note: Given that this is a "Collective" video, there are no spoken words to transcribe; below is the text that appears in the video in chronological order.]

[The video begins with TV static with the message "THE ENEMY KNOWS THE SYSTEM." A single frame of the message changes the W to an X, reading "THE ENEMY KNOXS THE SYSTEM." Then an indicator reading "PLAY" and "SP" appears before fading to a shot of Noah's face. His eyes open. The words that appear next are in Firebrand's font.]

I'm very proud of you.

[Noah's eyes shift from his own to Firebrand's, becoming black with white dots. The camera pans down to his mouth.]

You figured it out.

[Noah's expression shifts to a grin. Fade to a shot of hands applauding.]

You learned your lesson.

[One of the hands makes a thumbs-up. Fade to a shot of Noah standing at the boardwalk. He initially appears normal, but his image quickly shifts to Firebrand's.]

You learned the hard way

[Noah raises his hand to his ear. Cut to a close-up between his ear and his hand. A closed eyelid is visible across his palm.]

because you didn't listen.

[Black smoke erupts from Noah's ear, causing the eye on his hand to open and look around. Fade to a panning shot of hands grasping prison bars.]

But, neither did I.

Hard love can do wonders for stubborn learners.

[Fade to a shot looking up out of a barred window.]

To suffer is to gain.

[Fade to a hand drawing a Severance symbol in reverse on Milo's journal.]

Discipline pays disobedient debts.

Indirect education leads to critical thinking.

[A whirlpool appears on the screen briefly before fading to a hand bestowing the journal to another.]

Teaching yourself is the best way to learn after all.

[Wipe to a shot of the outside of Noah's house.]

Consider it a taste of what's to come.

[A spider crawls down the front of the house and an eye appears above a garage door, looking around, as a black liquid rises up from the bottom of the screen, wiping away the shot.]

Preparation for the flood.

The dark times.

But now you know.

[Pan up to a shot of several surgeons operating on a patient against a forest backdrop.]

All those times that they put you under.

When they operated on you.

[Fade to a shot of the side of Noah's face looking around as he moves along the boardwalk.]

It occurred to me too as I first wandered through the waking dream.

You witnessed the truth.

You saw the operating room.

[Fade to a shot looking down at a hand holding a knife at the boardwalk. The camera looks up at a figure standing in front, faced away.]

Our dominion is no place for mortals.

[Fade to a shot of a hand rolling up what appear to be wrappings of some kind.]

You can infer this through your meetings.

[Fade to a shot of a calendar zooming out recursively.]

Temporal elongation is exponential when traveling in our direction.

Seconds are minutes.

Minutes are hours.

Hours are days.

Days are weeks.

Weeks are months.

Months are years.

So.

[Fade to a shot of a map posted outside the park.]

Be thankful that you wise up.

[The camera moves close to the map, tracking the boardwalk along the posted points: "Start of Boardwalk", "Bridge", "Halfway from Bridge", "Observation Tower", "Halfway from Tower", and finally, "Docks".]

Be thankful that you listen to yourself.

Be thankful that you go back.

[Fade to a shot looking down at a hand grasping a rock-like object as the figure holding it moves down the boardwalk. This time, Firebrand's font is black with a white outline.]

I am devoted to retroactive countermeasures.

I am rarely allowed interaction, even now.

[His font shifts back to normal.]

I work to facilitate your realizations.

[Zoom out to a view of the briefcase sent by Mr. Scars. It opens to reveal the next subtitle from Firebrand.]

So now that you understand Severance, apply that knowledge to your homework.

[The briefcase closes, then opens again to reveal Milo's journal. It shuts again, the black space on the briefcase shifting to an image of cars driving on a road at night. One of the cars speeds toward the camera, and the bloom of its lights shifts to the next shot. A hand reaches down and shifts a gearstick. Cut to an accelerometer increasing. Cut to a shot of a car speeding over the camera. Cut to the side of the car as it speeds down the highway.]

And do what you know you have to do.

[Fade to a shot panning quickly past a forest.]

What I have to do.

[Fade to a shot looking up at the driver, Firebrand, behind the wheel.]

My work must proceed.

Yet despite my best efforts, my protective measures are running thin.

He is growing stronger.

[Sliding doors saying "EMERGENCY" slowly close over the shot. Water pours down from above and fills the shot, wiping to black from the bottom.]

Kevin knows not of his affliction.

[The water wipes down to a shot of Kevin. He's talking to the camera, holding a disk with the Severance symbol on it. His words cannot be heard.]

It is increasingly difficult to defer his host's influence.

[Kevin traces his hands over the symbol on the disk, apparently describing it. Fade to white.]

Our clock runs independently from yours.

[Fade to a shot slowly zooming in on an infinite clock spiral. Fade to a panning shot of a chess set.]

The longer you wait

[Cut to a shot of a king apparently taking another.]

the more he plots.

[Fade to a shot moving backwards through the woods.]

My interventions have given me the opportunity to send a more lucid transmission to you now.

[Fade to a shot of the inside of a house. The camera pans to a framed image, which appears as a portal to the boardwalk. The camera moves forward until the frame is out of view.]

So, while I have this rare window, I'm going to break some more rules.

[Tentacles close in on the shot, fading it to black. Fade in on hands slamming against a chain-link fence. Fade to an arm controlling several puppet strings.]

The being, it gives us great power, yet deprives us of free will.

We are cryptic creatures by nature, pacified by his dark force, puppets meant to manipulate your world through mortal vessels.

[Fade to a shot of magnetic fluid being manipulated through magnetism, forming itself into spikes.]

But being outside the range of control servers my strings and loosens my tongue.

[The magnet pulls away from the liquid, which collapses into globules. Fade to a shot of chains rattling around. Fade to another shot, this time of a single length of chain.]

The longer I am free, the more wisdom I am able to bestow.

[The chain is burned into two pieces and split. Fire erupts from the bottom of the screen. Fade to a shot of Milo's journal. The key, suspended by a ribbon, lowers into frame and hovers over the lock. It drops into the lock and turns before raising itself out of frame. The journal's latch comes off by itself.]

Now read very carefully.

[The journal opens itself.]

Opening one journal will lead to the other.

[Black liquid drips out of the journal, quickly obscuring the later part of the sentence. Inside the journal is an image of several arms reaching upward. Fade to a figure turned away from the camera, facing a tree. The figure quickly turns around and faces the camera, lifting his head up. The smiling mask he wears identifies him as Swain. Once again, Firebrand's text is black with a white outline.]

Sebastian's journal is the epicenter of everything, the very fabric of its desire.

[Swain holds up Sebastian's journal. He reaches for the mask on his face, pulling it up to reveal a different, frowning mask. Fade to a closer shot of Swain as he opens the journal toward the camera. Firebrand's text is back to normal.]

Obtaining it is key, but you will be forever tainted by its power.

[The camera zooms into the journal, revealing a vault door, which rotates and opens to reveal a room where DeadHead is squatting on the ground. An unplugged cord is attached to the wall. A light hangs from the top of the room and swings back and forth.]

It will usher in the dark times.

The dark times will bring Kevin.

[Fade to an outside shot, which pans up to a palm tree that splits into two parts.]

Through duality comes strength.

A living body catalyzes our power and function.

[Fade to a shot of a forest. Kevin's head is in the center of the shot; he looks up and appears visibly nervous. Firebrand's text appears in white above his head, only barely visible.]

The only way to free Kevin is to terminate his vessel.

[Kevin's visage shifts to the Observer's. The music shifts. The Observer breathes heavily and violently.]

DID YOU LIKE OUR FUN HOUSE?

[The text of the caption shifts from Firebrand's font to the Observer's. The Observer moves closer to the camera. The scene fades quickly past a number on a piece of fabric reading "826277", then to a shot of Noah grinning diabolically, then to a shot of a package dangling from a strap, then to a shot of bare feet rapidly tapping against the boardwalk, then to a knife being pulled out of a sheath, then to a figure running down the boardwalk.]

DID YOU MAKE SOME NEW FRIENDS?

[Quickly fade to a shot moving quickly through a forest.]

OLD ONES?

[Fade to a shot of the Observer smoking something, then tilting his head and grinning.]

DID YOU ENJOY THE PARTY?

[Fade to a shot of Noah holding his camera.]

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH OUR

[An eye appears in the lens as Noah grins.]

UNINVITED GUEST

[Fade to a shot of the Observer's face. His glasses reflect some images, including a figure faced away from the camera, feet walking, and the face of a motionless Noah.]

THERE WAS ONE THING THOUGH

[The Observer leans his head back in what appears to be violent, forced laughter. His glasses reflect what appear to be images of Victor Park.]

YOU BROUGHT US THE WRONG PRESENT

[Cut to another shot of the Observer. He removes a cigarette from his mouth and appears to shout forcefully.]

FUCKING IDIOT

[The Observer puffs out a cloud of smoke. Fade to a shot of a book opening and smoke pouring out.]

GO AHEAD AND OPEN YOUR BOOK

[A hand reaches out of the book.]

DRINK FROM IT

LEARN OF MY DEEDS

[Fade to a shot of the Nazi ammunition box containing Sebastian's journal in a forest.]

THEN TRAVEL TO THE HERMIT

[The box opens and the journal floats out.]

RETRIEVE HIS WAR SOUVENIR

[The journal flies at the camera. Cut to a shot zooming into the Observer's face, shouting at the camera.]

AND RETURN TO US

FOR COLLECTION

[Fade to a shot of a nervous-looking Noah.]

WE CANNOT WAIT

[Eyes begin appearing amid the stripes on Noah's shirt.]

TO HAVE YOU AGAIN

[Noah screams as hands cover his face and body. Fade quickly to the Observer laughing and pointing.]

HA HA HA

[The screen fills with the word "HA" written several times in the Observer's font. Fade to a shot of the Administrator, his face out of frame.]

AND OUR MISSING PIECE

[A compartment opens up inside of the tall figure, revealing an eight-plug outlet. One of the sockets is missing a plug. Fade to a shot of the Observer laughing, almost in agony.]

IF YOU AREN'T BROKEN NOW

WE WILL BREAK YOU THEN

[Fade to a shot of an alarm clock as it counts upwards, stopping at 4:44.]

BECAUSE NIGHT IS LONGEST

[It counts upwards again, the display spelling out "HELL".]

WHEN DAY DOES NOT EXIST

[Fade to the Observer crouching in front of the camera, grinning painfully, his hand reaching forward.]

OUR MASTER HUNGERS FOR YOU

[Fade to a spider spinning a web.]

WE ARE ALL CAUGHT IN HIS WEB

[Fade to the boardwalk, the Administrator standing at the other end.]

AND THE WEB CONSUMES US ALL

[The Administrator's lower half takes on a spider's form and the figure charges at the screen with a loud shriek. Cut to black. Fade to Noah's face saying "Looking forward to it" in reverse before fading back to black.]
